Toe nail fungus...I have had it for years. Tried many prescriptions...?

My toe nail is whiteish, yellowish, brownish. I just cut it down as far as I could..have done this before but has not helped. In the middle of my nail underneath its not detached to the nail bed..like a space between the nail bed and the nail. I have tried vicks, prescriptions, cutting it down and nothing!!! What else can I do. I do not want to take lamisil etc....I want to put an acrylic nail over it because its sandal season!!! What can cure this ugly nail fungus!!! HELPPPPP please!Toe nail fungus...I have had it for years. Tried many prescriptions...?
Nail fungas (be it on the toes or fingers) is not easy to get rid of. It takes a long time of using the proper medications. If you have tried overcounter medication like funge off (available at beauty supply shops) then you need prescription medication.

Whatever you do you have to do it from six months to a year to get rid of the fungus. As I said it is difficult to get rid of.

I suggest going to your doctor. Lamisil is a good product and works great in most cases. It will should also work faster than over the counter medications because it is working from the inside instead of topically.

For faster treatment you could talk to your doctor and try using Lamisil as an oral medication and try using FungOff topically (I would not do this without your doctors knowledge or approval as it could be too much mecidation and cause more damage to the nail and not cure the problem).

It usually takes ten months for you to notice the fungus gone if you are taking a prescription for this issue....how long have you been on meds for it and if it is past ten months and you are not noticing a change in the color of your nails, then I suggest that you go to your dr and explain that the script is not working...
