Toe nail fungus-home remedies?

I would use tea tree and lavender essential oils. Somethin' tells me that tea tree alone won't quite kick it for you. Use three drops of lavender and one of tea tree three times a day for a couple of days to see if that takes care of it.Toe nail fungus-home remedies?
Nail fungus, is a condition that affects the nail of around 6% to 8% of the adult population. A change in color, thickening of the nail, becoming brittle, or rippled nail may be a sign of nail fungus. But it can be cured.

Toe nail fungus-home remedies?
I got this advice in an e-mail, though I would go to the Dr. if it's really bad:

Listerine therapy for toenail fungus... Get rid of unsightly toenail fungus by soaking your toes in Listerine mouthwash. The powerful antiseptic leaves your toenails looking healthy again.
Your healthcare provider can prescribe medicine for your fungal infection that you take by mouth. Treatment lasts 12 weeks. This medicine travels through your bloodstream to reach the fungus where it lives deep under the nail in your nail bed.

A prescription polish is also available. It must be applied to the infected nail daily for up to 48 weeks.

To find out if one of these medications is right for you, talk with your healthcare provider.

Some people use products not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for nail fungus infections, such as over-the-counter creams, lotions, and polishes from a drugstore or pharmacy. Others use home remedies, such as vinegar or other solutions. But these products may not work very well because they don't reach the fungus where it lives under the nail.
take a clove of garlic peel it mash it and put it on your nail let it sit .got it from medicinal herb recipies on the internet, you can verify it look it up.
oh my God, u need to see a Doctor before it gets bad
Peroxide and water
Tea tree oil
Apply tea tree oil 3x's per day with a q-tip. You will have to do this for at least a month or more. There is no quick cure.
Tea tree oil or VIcks vaporub applied daily after bath or shower.

Treatment takes while; you must continue until the toenails are 'clean'.
I don't think you'll be sucessful with any home remedies. The fungus is under the nail, you can get at it. You need prescription medicine.
Soak feet in cornmeal mush (mix cornmeal and warm water) for one hour. Here's a webpage with more information-
wear socks
Vicks Vaporrub has been said to help...here is the deal: Any herbal/home/natural remedy you try which may work and tea tree oil/w or w/o lavender and listerine have anecdotal tales of success BUT you will have to do whatever it is for months before you see signs of improvement...for example you have the fungus IN you toe bed(and you do) so you will have to apply whatever topical you try until the nail is grown out entirely w/o evidence of fungus...this will indeed take months.

BTW: Any medical intervention will only be slightly faster. AND Carbs feed fungus try cutting back on them because toe fungus is a sign of some sort of systemic fungus lurking IN your entire body. It is simply growing under your toenails where it is visible. Dry white cotton socks and a different pair of leather shoes at least every other day would also be beneficial because it will keep your feet dry(er). Good luck..
i use a cheese scraper...then put it on my apple pie
